Local Purchasing Statement

Our commitment

December19 believes that how we spend money matters. We use our purchasing power to support local, independent and minority-owned businesses wherever possible - in line with our B Corp values and our commitment to being a force for good in the communities around us.

Our principles

  • We prefer suppliers within 50 miles of our Clerkenwell office for goods and services where quality and value are comparable

  • We actively seek out independent and minority-owned suppliers, particularly for catering, print, office supplies and professional services

  • We aim for 80% of our operational procurement spend to meet our sustainability and locality criteria, as set out in our Sustainable & Preferred Suppliers Guide

  • We do not apply these preferences where they would compromise quality, service or value to our clients

Community focus

Our office in Clerkenwell is part of a community of independent businesses and creative organisations. We support local initiatives through our volunteering programme, our pro bono and reduced-rate work with community organisations, and by choosing local suppliers for our own operations.
