JEDI
Commitment
Our commitment
December19 is committed to creating a workplace and a business that is just, equitable, diverse and inclusive. We believe that our work is better, our culture stronger, and our community impact greater when we reflect the full range of human experience. JEDI is not a compliance exercise — it is central to who we are and how we operate.
Board accountability
Accountability for JEDI at December19 sits at executive level. Sally Haylock (Managing Partner, Finance) leads our JEDI programme and reports progress to the Board. The Board reviews JEDI performance annually as part of its governance cycle.
Our priorities
Using data from our annual diversity monitoring survey and team feedback, we have identified three priority social identity groups for our Year 0–5 JEDI Plan:
Gender: increasing representation of women in senior and leadership roles
Ethnicity: increasing ethnic diversity across all levels, with particular focus on mid-senior roles
Socioeconomic background: removing barriers to entry and progression for people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds
Our actions
Our full JEDI Plan (Year 0–5) is available to all employees via Charlie HR and is reviewed annually each May following our diversity monitoring survey. Key commitments include:
Annual diversity monitoring survey, conducted voluntarily and anonymously via Wotter
Annual gender and ethnicity pay gap analysis
Representation targets reviewed annually against the May survey baseline
Bias-aware recruitment practices embedded in our Local & Inclusive Hiring Policy
JEDI training for all team members, including the governing body
Publication of JEDI progress in our annual B Corp Impact Report
