Our commitment

December19 Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040, in accordance with the SBTi Corporate Net Zero Standard. We commit to a 90% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2040 from our 2025 baseline, with residual emissions offset.

Baseline emissions

Our baseline year is 2025 (January-December 2025), measured using the Seedling platform and verified against the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard using DEFRA conversion factors. Total emissions: 3,371.56 tCO₂e (Scope 1: 0.30 tCO₂e, Scope 2: 1.46 tCO₂e, Scope 3: 3,369.79 tCO₂e). The dominant source is Scope 3 category 3.1 - purchased goods and services (media buying activity) at 3,348.66 tCO₂e, representing 99.3% of our total footprint. Within operational emissions, business travel (8.01 tCO₂e) and employee commuting (7.39 tCO₂e) are the largest contributors.

Reduction targets

  • Reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% by 2040 from our 2025 baseline (SBTi Net Zero target)

  • Reduce Scope 3 emissions intensity (per £m revenue) by 97% by 2050 from our 2025 baseline

  • Achieve projected 10.85% total reduction by 2030 (2.32% annual reduction) as an interim milestone

Actions we are taking

  • Measuring our full carbon footprint annually using Seedling and reporting publicly

  • Reducing digital media buying emissions by applying Scope3 measurement tools to campaigns and prioritising lower-carbon inventory where quality is maintained

  • Continuing to operate from our Clerkenwell office under a green energy tariff

  • Supporting employees to commute by public transport through our Season Ticket Loan scheme

  • Reducing business travel and offsetting unavoidable flights

  • Procuring hardware and office supplies through our Sustainable & Preferred Suppliers Guide

  • Working towards formal SBTi target validation (targets currently set in accordance with the SBTi Corporate Net Zero Standard)
