December19 - Campaign Best Places to Work 2024
December19 are incredibly proud to have been listed at number 5, in Campaign’s Best Places to Work 2024.
The estimable list, which is held in association with Connor Broadley Benefits Consulting, celebrates companies that are regarded highly by their employees and can demonstrate how they benefit their staff.
A two-stage assessment by independent research company Workforce Research Group was carried out, after being provided with information about company benefits, policies and practices, and employees complete a confidential questionnaire on their workplace's culture.
Within the assessment, employers that find ways both to prevent and help address mental health-related problems stand out – and the workplaces that go further to seek out and help staff who have the most difficulty vocalising problems are even more noticeable.
Lorraine Jennings-Creed, director of wellbeing services and culture change at the industry's mental wellbeing charity Nabs, says: “While the journey to advance mental wellness in our industry has begun, progress is unevenly distributed. The danger with all these findings is that it is often those who most need the support that feel less able to talk.”
Eighty-one per cent of employers at the top 100 companies said managers at their organisations were trained to look for and deal with signs of mental stress, fatigue, and/or burnout among their team, while 84% of those at non-winning companies said they were. This suggests the formal preventative training around promoting work-life balance at the winning agencies was more critical to positive outcomes than spotting problems once they have arisen.
December19 is proud to have several Mental Health First-Aiders who aim to provide support in this exact area.
