It’s been a while since I wrote an update. In fact, my last piece was intended for early March but the rumblings of the virus delayed it and then a full blown lockdown cancelled it.
The last seven months have been dire…there is no point hiding that fact. We have stuck in there though and thanks to the Government’s furlough scheme, we still have the same number of staff in the business as we did going into lockdown.
We now look forward and, as much as we cannot guarantee a second peak of COVID will halt the nation again, there is an exciting future ahead of us at d19 as we enter a new phase of our business life.
It will be a decade on October 1st 2020 since Dave and I stepped into our South Quay premises to start trading as a new, independent media agency. Two years there, followed by eight years in our very smart Bermondsey offices and now we are in Clerkenwell. This was a decision taken early in lockdown to provide us with a more efficient way of office working and we have settled in very well.
We were already working on new logo and creds as we entered 2020 and we are now pleased to introduce our sparkling new website too. We still heavily invest in people and believe that it will be those talented people who will make the biggest difference to our clients’ business success.
‘Media made Human’ is our new mantra, which we believe perfectly encapsulates how we approach business. In these ever-changing times, we know that it is paramount to our current and potential clients that our understanding of their audiences and the media they consume will help them adapt and thrive.
We are very happy to be representing a stable of brilliant clients and we have several new wins to be announced in the coming weeks.
As we head into the autumn, it’s time to look forward again and embrace the exciting d19 future.
