D19 pledges £250 to charity, after hitting 4.2m steps in healthy workplace initiative

A £250 donation is winging its way to this quarter’s nominated charity, PAPYRUS, following us smashing a 4.2 million step target, on a recent Fitbit challenge.

The challenge, which kicked off in May, formed part of our recent initiative to achieve the GLA’s Healthy Workplace Charter status. Other activities have included the provision of a Nutribullet to ensure that we can make smoothies whenever we fancy, and ensuring a supply of fresh fruit for everyone who works here, every day of the week.

D19 is the smallest business to achieve this accreditation, and is the only UK media planning agency involved in the scheme, which is focussed on supporting and enhancing the health and well-being of the team.

Topping the Fitbit challenge was Amy who amassed over 559,000 steps, followed by Dan B with 544,000, and Dave with 513,000.

Well done to everyone involved in the challenge. The next target is 8.4m steps, which we hope to hit by the end of August, to benefit another charity. After all this energetic strolling, that should be a walk in the park!
